Job Title: WASH Coordinator (Intern)

OVERVIEW:  Caring Volunteers Network (CAVNET) works for the upliftment of disadvantaged communities in the Upper West Region of Ghana by increasing their access to resources and skills in a sustainable manner. CAVNET is currently implementing projects in areas of education, environment, WASH and livelihood development.

CAVNET needs a WASH Project Coordinator to design and implement a WASH project for the community. This is your opportunity to use your water, sanitation and hygiene expertise to help improve the lives and futures of vulnerable community members.


SALARY: Unpaid


  • Develop design plans, working drawings, technical specifications for a WASH project
  • Manage a Water Sanitation and Hygiene Project for a community in the Upper West Region.
  • Coordinate and mobilize community user groups, including formation of effective sanitation committees and water user management committees
  • Plan community outreaches on WASH activities.


  • Bachelor’s degree or current student
  • Demonstrated experience in WASH projects


  • Experience in coordination and supervision of sanitation and household refuse/waste management using community based approaches.
  • Experience in designing and implementing WASH facilities like latrine and bathing cubicles, Emergency water supplies lines and hygiene promotion
