Job Title: Finance/Budgeting Intern

Reporting to: Executive Director

OVERVIEW: Caring Volunteers Network (CAVNET) works for the upliftment of the disadvantaged communities in the Upper West Region of Ghana by increasing their access to resources and skills in a sustainable manner. CAVNET is currently implementing projects in areas of education, environment, WASH and livelihood development.

The organization is currently seeking to appoint a Finance/ Budgeting Intern to manage its financial operations and project budgets.

LOCATION: Wa, Ghana

SALARY: Unpaid

Duties/Assignments:

The Finance Officer will:

  • Develop financial operations of the organization and ensure timely and accurate financial reports and practices.
  • Responsible for entering financial information and maintaining all financial records for projects and for the organization.
  • Preparing and maintaining donor agreements and staff contracts.
  • Manage financial control, prepare and analyze budgets, develop financial reports, and make recommendations to the organization on budget

Academic Qualifications

Advanced University Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or other related fields

Relevant Experience

  • Experience in auditing, accounting/finance
  • Work in multi-cultural, multi-national context
